Radar raises $8 million series A to scale modern, privacy-first location context platform

Since announcing our seed round in October 2017, we have scaled 100x and are now processing hundreds of billions of locations per year from nearly 100 million devices.
To continue our rapid growth, we're thrilled to announce that we've raised an $8 million series A round led by Two Sigma Ventures, with participation from Accel, Heavybit, Scott Belsky (Behance Founder and Adobe Chief Product Officer), and Ashley Smith (previously GitHub VP of Marketing). These investors bring a wealth of data, SaaS, product, and marketing experience to the table.
The future of location context will be powered by first-party data, with clear opt-in from and value for end users. In a space filled with ad tech companies and data monetization companies, and at a time when user privacy has never been more in focus, Radar offers a modern, privacy-first approach to location context.
